Meet Me!

Stephanie of the blog, Falling into First has created an awesome linky called Meet the Blogger.  It's great getting to know everyone!  Here's a bit about me.

I am Julie.  I live in Lexington, MA with my wonderful husband and 3 boys (one son and 2 stepsons).  I have 2 cats and my baby Bentley, who is my beagle and my shadow. I have been teaching for 17 years.  Wow, 17?!  Suddenly, I feel old!  I taught kindergarten for most of my career in a private school. I have been teaching first grade for 3 years now in a public school and I love it!

 

My husband, Kriss and I at our wedding in St. Lucia.  Kriss is a very talented architect.

The greatest dog ever:  Bentley.  We rescued Bentley in May.  He was in the Canine Companion program in Kentucky where he was trained by a prison inmate who taught him all his commands and then released him to a shelter.  I'm not sure who rescued who.  We sure do love him and he's such a good dog!

My first grade classroom:
