I love this idea of having students brainstorm things they could pack to bring with them on the Mayflower if they were a Pilgrim. This will be a great writing activity after reading If I Sailed on the Mayflower in 1620 by Ann McGovern.
This site has fantastic videos has the Pilgrims and the Mayflower. I am fortunate enough to live a half hour away from Plymouth Planation. If you are ever in Massachusetts, it is an incredible thing to see.

DeleteI could definitely use some videos about Thanksgiving. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMy good friend went to Plymouth Plantation about 13 years ago to a Colonial School for teachers! I was about to have baby #2 so I couldn't go with her! I love your suitcase idea- that would really make the students think! Those turkey hats would be so cute on my kiddos the day of our feast. Thank you for sharing your great pins and linking up! :)
